Tubolit is a Grey Polyethylene pipe insulation (sometimes known as polyethylene pipe wrap insulation) used throughout the UK and EU. It is commonly used in domestic and commercial central heating systems. It is also used in loft installations to prevent the freezing over of pipes. Tubolit is a very flexible product and comes ready to split, so you can easily apply it to your pipework.
We supply Tubolit foam pipe covers in a full range of bore sizes and thicknesses. We have everything from the full 9mm range to 25mm thick. You can buy all these sizes in 1m lengths.
Tubolit polyethylene pipe insulation is mainly used for indoor lagging. However, if you are looking for a quick fix for your outdoor needs, Tubolit can be a cheap way to insulate your outdoor pipes for the winter. Please note that this would not be recommended as a long-term solution. Tubolit will degrade faster after being exposed to the elements.
