How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

NH/ArmaFlex Smart is the specification choice when halogen-free credentials are a project requirement. Built on EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) technology rather than standard nitrile rubber, it is free from chlorides, bromides, SCCPs, MCCPs, and LCCPs — meeting the material health requirements of LEED v4.1, BREEAM International, and DGNB without compromise on thermal or vapour resistance performance.
If your project specifies halogen-free insulation, requires green building certification compliance, or sits under a specification that excludes chlorinated materials, NH/ArmaFlex Smart is the correct product. For projects where low-smoke fire classification (B(L)-s1,d0) is the primary driver rather than halogen content, see ArmaFlex Ultima instead.
Why Halogen-Free Matters
Standard elastomeric foam insulation is based on nitrile rubber, which contains chlorine. In a fire, chlorinated materials can generate hydrogen chloride gas — corrosive to building infrastructure and harmful to occupants. NH/ArmaFlex Smart eliminates this risk at source. Its EPDM base produces no halogen-containing combustion products, supporting both occupant safety and the increasingly common material health audit requirements on commercial, healthcare, and education projects.

Installation
ArmaFlex 750 adhesive is the certified compatible adhesive for a long-term performing system. For outdoor or UV-exposed installations, apply ArmaFinish Paint or cover with ArmaClad/Arma-Chek within 3 days.
Storage & Shelf Life
