Insulation Tapes
- Aluminium Foil Tape — Self-adhesive aluminium foil tape for sealing joints and overlaps on foil-faced pipe insulation including phenolic, mineral wool and PIR sections. Provides a continuous vapour barrier and a clean, professional finish. Available in various widths.
- Vapour Barrier Tape — Specialist tape for sealing vapour barriers on chilled water and refrigeration pipework. Essential for maintaining the integrity of the vapour control layer and preventing condensation at joints.
- PVC Tape — General purpose PVC insulation tape for colour coding, identification and temporary sealing of pipe insulation. Available in standard colours for pipe identification.
- Identification Tape — Colour-coded pipe identification tape for marking pipework services in accordance with BS 1710. Available in standard service colours for hot water, cold water, gas, electrical and other services.
Adhesives & Sealants
- Contact Adhesive — Solvent-based contact adhesive for bonding elastomeric foam insulation including Armaflex and K-Flex. Apply to both surfaces, allow to tack off, then press together for an instant bond. Essential for longitudinal seams and butt joints on foam insulation.
- Insulation Adhesive — Water-based and solvent-based adhesives for bonding pipe insulation sections. Compatible with a wide range of insulation materials.
- Joint Sealant — Flexible sealant for sealing gaps and joints in pipe insulation systems. Maintains thermal and vapour performance at joints, bends and fittings.
Why Proper Sealing Matters
Poorly sealed joints are the most common cause of insulation system failure. On chilled water and refrigeration pipework, unsealed joints allow moisture ingress which destroys thermal performance and causes corrosion. On hot pipework, unsealed joints create thermal bridges that reduce energy efficiency. Using the correct tape and adhesive for your insulation system is as important as the insulation itself.
