Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).

ArmaFlex ECO550 Activator

The ECO550 Activator is used alongside ArmaFlex ECO550 and ArmaFlex Ultima ECO550 adhesives to dramatically reduce airing time on site. Without the activator, ECO550 adhesive requires approximately 10 minutes of airing before bonding. With the activator applied to both surfaces, airing time drops to just 1–2 minutes — enabling immediate bonding and significantly faster installation, particularly on larger commercial jobs where joint count is high.

Supplied as a 100 ml plastic bottle. Armacell carton quantity: 6 bottles.

The activator does not replace the adhesive — it is sprayed onto both bonding surfaces prior to adhesive application. It contains no halogens, fulfils VOC requirements across all major European standards, and carries UL ECOLOGO® certification (UL 2762), making it suitable for LEED, BREEAM, and DGNB projects alongside NH/ArmaFlex Smart or standard ArmaFlex EVO systems.

When to Use the Activator

Any job where installation speed matters and you are using ECO550 or Ultima ECO550 adhesive
Commercial projects with high joint counts where 10-minute airing per joint is impractical
Cold conditions where airing time naturally extends — activator compensates by accelerating cure

Application Conditions

Apply from a minimum distance of 30 cm to both bonding surfaces
Ideal temperature: +15°C to +20°C; do not apply below +5°C
Maximum relative humidity: 70%
Minimum airing time after activator application: 1–2 minutes (in combination with ECO550 or Ultima ECO550 adhesive)
