ArmaFlex 520 Pipe Insulation Adhesive
How to measure?
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
|←— OD —→|Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.
ArmaFlex 520 Pipe Insulation Adhesive
ArmaFlex 520 is Armacell's polychloroprene-based contact adhesive for installing compatible flexible ArmaFlex insulation materials and accessories. It is used for bonding seams, butt joints and fabricated details where the ArmaFlex system requires an adhesive joint.
Important compatibility note: ArmaFlex 520 is not the correct adhesive for ArmaPrene or EPDM-based ArmaFlex products such as HT/ArmaFlex. Use the adhesive specified by Armacell for those systems.

The airing and open times vary with the quantity applied and the ambient conditions. Follow the current ArmaFlex application manual and Safety Data Sheet for the installation being carried out.
Typical Uses
- Sealing longitudinal seams in compatible ArmaFlex tube insulation
- Bonding butt joints between insulation sections
- Fabricating bends, tees and other insulation details
- Bonding compatible ArmaFlex sheet insulation to suitable surfaces
Selection Guidance
Use the adhesive specified for the particular ArmaFlex product being installed. For high-temperature EPDM products such as HT/ArmaFlex, use the designated HT adhesive system rather than ArmaFlex 520.
