Product Overview

FirePro® AIS is a high-performance, acrylic-based fire-resistant ablative sealant manufactured by ROCKWOOL. Specifically engineered for fire-stopping applications, it is designed to reinstate the structural fire integrity of compartment walls and floors. The product serves as a versatile dual-purpose solution, providing both robust fire protection and excellent airborne sound insulation.

Key Applications

FirePro AIS is extensively tested for a wide range of joint configurations and penetration seals, including:

  • Linear Joint Seals: Suitable for filling construction linear joints up to 60mm wide.
  • Service Penetrations: Effectively seals gaps around service penetrations to maintain compartmentation.
  • System Integration: Can be used to seal FirePro CB50 within penetration seals.

Note: This product should NOT be allowed to come into direct contact with cPVC type piping.

Performance & Technical Specifications

  • Fire Resistance: Provides up to 4 hours of fire resistance (EI 240) in accordance with EN 1366-4:2021, depending on the specific application.
  • Acoustic Insulation: Delivers a weighted sound reduction index of up to 62dB.
  • Application Temperature: Formulated for application within a temperature range of 5°C to 35°C.
  • Shelf Life: Up to 18 months when kept in unopened cartridges under cool, dry conditions away from extreme temperatures.
  • Packaging Formats: Supplied in 310ml cartridges, 600ml foils, and 5kg tubs.

FirePro AIS is independently certified and heavily tested to meet modern UK and European construction standards:

  • Tested to rigorous fire standards EN 1366-3: 2021+A1:2024 and EN 1366-4:2021.
  • Classified according to BS EN 13501-2: 2023.
  • Airborne sound insulation verified via BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2021.
  • Third-party certified by UL (Certificate No. UL-EU-01364-EN).
