NH Armaflex Smart is Armacell's specialist elastomeric foam pipe insulation engineered specifically for ammonia (NH3) refrigeration systems — one of the most technically demanding applications in industrial refrigeration. Part of the Armaflex range, NH Armaflex Smart combines the proven closed-cell foam performance of standard Armaflex with a unique resistance to ammonia permeation, making it the only Armacell product approved for direct contact with NH3 refrigerant pipework.

Ammonia is widely used as a natural refrigerant in food processing, cold storage, industrial process cooling and district cooling systems due to its exceptional thermodynamic efficiency and zero global warming potential. NH Armaflex Smart ensures the insulation system maintains its integrity and thermal performance throughout the life of the ammonia plant.
