How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

ArmaFlex Ultima is Armacell’s low-smoke flexible elastomeric foam pipe insulation for HVAC, refrigeration and technical building services. These unslit tubes are supplied in 2m lengths and use Armacell’s patented ArmaPrene technology.

- Thermal performance: Thermal conductivity λ ≤ 0.040 W/(m·K) at 0°C.
- Condensation control: Water vapour diffusion resistance factor μ ≥ 7,000.
- Wide service temperature range: Suitable for applications from -50°C to +110°C for the standard unslit tube range.
- Fire behaviour: Self-extinguishing, with no dripping and no flame spread under the manufacturer’s stated practical fire behaviour.
- Approvals: FM approved and suitable for IMO-compliant applications as stated by Armacell.

ArmaFlex Ultima is designed for insulating pipework in HVAC, refrigeration and other technical building-services installations where low smoke generation, thermal performance and condensation control are important.

Installation guidance
For a complete ArmaFlex Ultima system, use Armacell-approved Ultima adhesives such as ArmaFlex Ultima 700 or ArmaFlex Ultima ECO550 as appropriate for the installation. Outdoor applications require suitable UV protection in accordance with Armacell guidance.
