Armaflex HT Solar Pipe Insulation
Armaflex HT Solar Pipe Insulation is Armacell's specialist high-temperature, UV-resistant closed-cell elastomeric foam pipe insulation, engineered specifically for solar thermal collector circuits and outdoor heat pump primary pipework. Where standard Armaflex EVO is rated to +105°C, HT grade is formulated for continuous operating temperatures up to +150°C and withstands prolonged UV and weathering exposure without additional cladding — making it the correct and specified product for solar thermal installations throughout the UK.

Why Armaflex HT and Not Standard Armaflex EVO?
Standard Armaflex EVO is rated to +105°C and is not UV resistant — it will degrade when exposed to sunlight and will not perform reliably on solar collector circuits where stagnation temperatures can exceed 120°C. Armaflex HT is the Armacell-specified product for these applications and is required to maintain system performance and warranty compliance.

Installation
Armaflex HT must be bonded using Armaflex HT Adhesive — do not use standard Armaflex 520 adhesive on HT grade insulation at elevated temperatures. All seams and butt joints must be fully bonded to maintain the vapour barrier.
