How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

Armaflex HT/ArmaFlex Solar Pipe Insulation – 2m Outdoor High-Temperature EPDM Tube
Armaflex HT/ArmaFlex is a flexible, closed-cell EPDM pipe insulation designed for high-temperature and outdoor applications. Manufactured to EN 14304, the standard tube range is supplied in 2m lengths and is suitable for applications including solar thermal systems, heat pumps, HVAC pipework, hot gas lines and other high-temperature services.
Key Features & Benefits
- High-temperature performance: Service temperature range from -50°C to +150°C. For applications above +125°C or below -50°C, Armacell advises consulting its technical service team.
- Very good UV resistance: Designed for outdoor use. Under standard conditions additional jacketing is not required; extreme outdoor environments should be assessed with Armacell.
- Flexible closed-cell EPDM: Durable elastomeric insulation manufactured in accordance with EN 14304.
- Low thermal conductivity: Tube thermal conductivity λd ≤ 0.042 W/(m·K) at 40°C.
- Water vapour resistance: Water vapour diffusion resistance factor μ ≥ 4,000 for tubes.
- Reaction to fire: D(L)-s3,d0 for tubes in accordance with EN 13501-1.

Applications
Suitable for thermal insulation of pipework in solar thermal systems, heat pump systems, HVAC installations, hot gas lines and other high-temperature or outdoor services where standard elastomeric insulation may not be suitable.

Installation
For a reliable, sealed installation Armacell recommends the appropriate ArmaFlex adhesive system, including Armaflex HT625 adhesive for HT/ArmaFlex applications. Longitudinal seams and butt joints should be bonded in accordance with Armacell installation guidance. For sealing exposed joints and repairs, use Armaflex HT Tape.
