How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

Cuts heat loss on hot water and heating pipework, helps prevent freezing, and protects people from hot surfaces. Fits over your existing valve without any modification, and comes off and refits in seconds for servicing.
- Choose your valve size from the options
- Flanged connection type
- Outer: grey, water-resistant silicone-coated glass cloth. Non-flammable, conforming to BS 476
- Infill: aluminium-faced glass wool, 25mm (R 0.70 m²K/W) or 50mm (R 1.40 m²K/W) infill, confirmed on your quote
- Fastening: fire-retardant hook-and-loop with pull-cord closure
- Suitable for temperatures up to 150°C. Internal and external versions available, so tell us where it will be used
- Reusable and removable, ideal for valves that need regular inspection or maintenance
