How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

The DiversiTech TRH-4 is a spring-steel threaded rod hanger designed to support a pair of insulated copper air-conditioning pipes from either M8 or M10 threaded rod. Its squeeze-to-fit design allows rapid installation and adjustment, even after the refrigerant pipework has been installed.
