How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

Pipe support applications
Saddle clamps provide a simple fixed support for compatible pipework where the pipe is secured directly to a mounting surface or support assembly. Select the clamp size to suit the actual outside diameter of the pipe.
Where pipe insulation passes through a support point, use a suitable insulated support arrangement where required so the insulation is not unnecessarily compressed beneath the fixing.
