How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

ArmaSound RD240 Acoustic Insulation Sheet
ArmaSound RD240 is a high-performance, flexible, hydrophobic open-cell elastomeric acoustic insulation material from Armacell. Its complex pore geometry is designed for effective airborne sound absorption across a broad frequency range.
Sheet size: 1m x 1m. This Pipelagging listing includes 6mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm and 25mm thicknesses, with either non-adhesive or self-adhesive backing.

Sound absorption
Armacell publishes weighted sound absorption coefficient (αw) values for ArmaSound RD240 in its current GB technical data: 0.15 (H) for 6mm, 0.25 (H) for 10mm, 0.40 (MH) for 15mm and 0.55 (MH) for 25mm. The current published table does not state a separate αw value for the 20mm sheet.

Installation
Armacell recommends ArmaFlex Adhesive 520 or HT625 for reliable adhesion of joints and seams. In exposed industrial applications, the outer surface should be protected with a suitable covering or cladding. Contact us for project-specific application or availability advice.
