How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

K-FLEX ST/SK Self-Seal Pipe Insulation — 2m Lengths
K-FLEX ST/SK is flexible closed-cell elastomeric foam pipe insulation with a factory-applied self-adhesive longitudinal closure. It is designed for refrigeration, air-conditioning, chilled-water, heating and plumbing services where fast installation and reliable condensation control are required.

- Self-seal closure: pre-slit tube with factory-applied adhesive seam for faster retrofit installation
- Temperature range: -40°C to +85°C for K-FLEX ST/SK tube
- Thermal conductivity: 0.033 W/(m·K) at 0°C and 0.037 W/(m·K) at 40°C for thicknesses up to 25mm
- Water-vapour diffusion resistance: μ ≥ 10,000 for thicknesses up to 25mm
- Reaction to fire: Euroclass B(L)-s2,d0
- BS 476: Class 0 to Part 6
- pH neutral: pH 7
- Length: 2 metres per tube

Installation
Open the pre-slit tube, position it around the pipe, remove the release film from the self-adhesive closure and press the seam firmly together along its full length.
The self-seal strip closes the longitudinal seam, but butt joints, bends, fittings and fabricated details still need to be sealed correctly in accordance with the current K-FLEX application instructions using a compatible K-FLEX adhesive where required.
Important Notes
Do not rely on the self-seal strip as a substitute for correct joint sealing throughout the insulation system. Select insulation thickness according to service temperature, ambient conditions and the required thermal or condensation-control performance.
For outdoor use, apply a suitable protective finish or cladding in accordance with K-FLEX guidance rather than relying on the bare elastomeric surface as the weathering layer.
