How to measure?
Measure the Outside Diameter (OD)
Pipe insulation sizes refer to the outside diameter of the pipe — not the bore (internal diameter).
Wrap a tape measure around the pipe, divide by π (3.14) to get the OD. Or use calipers across the outside of the pipe directly.

AF/ArmaFlex EVO AC Insulation Coils
AF/ArmaFlex EVO AC coils are continuous lengths of flexible closed-cell elastomeric foam insulation for air-conditioning, refrigeration, chilled-water and heat-pump pipework. The long coil format reduces the number of butt joints on straight pipe runs and is particularly useful for split-system and refrigeration installations.
This listing covers the current AF/ArmaFlex EVO specification in 9mm and 13mm wall thicknesses. Coil length varies by pipe size and is shown in the variant selector.

- Material: flexible elastomeric foam based on synthetic rubber (FEF), manufactured to EN 14304
- Service temperature: -50°C to +110°C for standard tube applications
- Thermal conductivity: λd ≤ 0.033 W/(m·K) at 0°C and 0.038 W/(m·K) at 40°C for the 9mm and 13mm tube thicknesses in this listing
- Water-vapour diffusion resistance: μ ≥ 10,000 for the tube thicknesses in this listing
- Reaction to fire: Euroclass B(L)-s2,d0 to EN 13501-1 for AF/ArmaFlex EVO tubes
- UK fire performance: Class 0 to BS 476 Part 6 for tubes
- Microban® antimicrobial protection: built into the insulation material
- Continuous coil format: fewer joints on long straight pipe runs
Live Size Range
Current variants cover 6mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 22mm and 28mm pipe sizes with 9mm or 13mm insulation thicknesses. Coil lengths vary from 20m to 70m depending on the selected size.

Installation
Install in accordance with the current ArmaFlex application manual. Slide the continuous tube over pipework before final connection where practical. Where cuts, seams or fabricated details are required, seal them correctly using a compatible ArmaFlex adhesive.
Outdoor use: standard AF/ArmaFlex EVO requires protection from UV radiation. Armacell advises applying a suitable protective finish or covering within 3 days where the insulation is exposed outdoors.
Important Selection Note
Choose insulation thickness according to pipe temperature, ambient conditions and the required condensation-control or thermal performance. Do not assume that 9mm or 13mm is suitable for every refrigeration or chilled-water duty.
