Frost Protection Per Metre Self Regulating Drain Heater Tape
Self Regulating Frost Protection Heating Cable. Self-regulating heating cables are designed to provide freeze protection or process temperature maintenance to metallic and non metallic piping, tanks and equipment.
The FSG range of heating cables is recommended to protect against freezing or to maintain moderate temperatures. To ensure that these heating elements enjoy a long service life, we recommend using a control device.
The heat output of the cable varies in response to the surrounding conditions along the entire length of a circuit. Whenever the heat loss of the insulated pipe, tank or equipment increases (as ambient temperature drops), the heat output of the cable increases. Conversely, when the heat loss decreases (as the ambient temperature rises or product fl ows), the cable reacts by reducing its heat output. This self-regulating feature allows it to be overlapped without temperature upset damage to the cable.
Operating Voltage: 230 VAC 15W Per Metre
Application Freeze Protection or Process Temperature Maintenance FSG/TP self-regulating heating cables are designed to provide freeze protection or process temperature maintenance tometallic and non metallic piping, tanks and equipment. The heat output of FSG/TP cable varies in response to the surrounding conditions along the entire length of a circuit. Whenever the heat loss of the insulated pipe, tank or equipment increases (as ambient temperature drops), the heat output of the cable increases.
• Can be cut to length on site. • Will not self-destruct by overheating. • Power supply: 230 V. • Available as 10, 15, 25 or 30 W/m at + 10 Degrees C. • FSG/TP : with tinned copper braid and outer thermoplastic anticorrosion sheath.
Recommended Insulation thickness from 10mm pipe to 28mm 9mm wall thickness, 35mm pipe 13mm wall thickness, 42mm pipe and 48mm pipe 19mm wall thickness.
